You.Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Information Security Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, as well as managing and deploying data infrastructure in cloud environments. You will work closely with our data science, analytics, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration across our systems, and you will mentor junior team members to elevate the overall technical capability of the team.
This role is on-site in Herndon, VA. Candidate must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI with polygraph.
What you get to do.•Lead the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.•Collaborate closely with software developers and architects to comprehend and implement security requirements.•Provide technical guidance to application developers on security policies and requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.•Utilize DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and STIG Viewer for security compliance assessments.•Develop and validate security control implementations and create test procedures.•Stay current on security risks and protocols, proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.•Utilize RMF and Xacta for security documentation and compliance management.•Maintain an active TS clearance adjudication with the ability to obtain SCI and polygraph, and work 100% onsite in a secure environment.
Required Qualifications:•10 years of experience that includes supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes and documentation using RMF, BS degree; 8 years of experience with a masters•Experience working with software developers and architects to understand security requirements•Experience guiding application developers on security policy, identifying security requirements, providing technical guidance for the satisfaction of requirements•DISA STIGs and STIG Viewer experience•Hands-on experience in developing and validating control implementations and test procedures•Knowledge of current security risks and protocols•DoD Approved 8570 IA Technical (IAT) Level 3 or IA Management (IAM) Level 2 Certification•RMF, Xacta experience•Active TS clearance adjudication with the ability to obtain SCI and polygraph•Willing to work 100% onsite in a secure environment 
Desired Skills:•Experience working with cloud-hosted information systems or applications•Experience working with Redhat or CentOS Linux operating systems•Experience working in a DevSecOps environment and tool chain•Creating and using security tools and processes for scanning, testing, monitoring, and reporting•Experience in planning and overseeing configuration changes for major applications across multiple networks•Good analytic and problem-solving skills
