We have an outstanding opportunity for a junior cybersecurity engineer who will support the development of advanced cyber defenses and defensive practices for autonomous ground vehicles.  As partial and fully autonomous vehicles become deployed by the U.S. Military and commercial parties, we expect a greater need for operational cyber protections and support.    

What You’ll Do

  • Work with a team of senior cyber security professionals developing and operationalizing autonomous cyber defense for ground vehicles
  • Assist in developing Zero Trust principals for cyber-physical and distributed systems using autonomous cyber agents
  • Integrate cyber defensive processes, methods, analytics, threat intelligence, detection, and response technology
  • Contribute to deliverables, including but not limited to foundational assessments, reports, technical briefing, and other

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant industry experience (including internships, volunteer or other)
  • Some experience with key cybersecurity frameworks i.e., NIST, Cybersecurity framework and ISO/IEC 27001
  • Practical understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and processes
  • Some knowledge of DoD, and other governmental computer network designs, systems, and programs.
  • Familiarity with IT/OT, DISA STIGs/SRGs, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Understanding of contemporary cyber technology including EDR, NDR, SIEM and SOAR
  • Working experience with SELinux, Docker, C++, Python, TLS / SSH, IPSEC, Cisco IOS

How to Stand Out

  • Some familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture
  • Willingness to obtain industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISA

 

Salary Range:  $75,000-$100,000

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more.
