Role purpose Provide support to the 4 key IT Application Services of: Application Service Delivery (running the commercial managed services) Application Support (governance and assurance of managed services) Application Governance & Integrity (governance and assurance of the quality, integrity and fit for purpose nature of applications) Application Release & Roadmap for a given suite of IT applications (holding formal release plans for business critical applications) Manage the Core Tech components of Applications ( API Gateway, Applications , ESB)

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategy and Planning
•Be aware of departmental and business unit strategy to develop appropriate service measures
•Participate in all internal meetings, as required, in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice
•Positively promote the department, division and company as a whole, in order to maximize brand leverage
•Contribute to the development of the team’s business plan in order to maximize service delivery
•Provide analytical expertise for the IT Application Portfolio in the key areas of Application Service Delivery, Application Support, Application Governance & Integrity and Application Release and Roadmap
•Policy, Process and Procedures
•Provide analysis for the IT Application Portfolio investment and planning process in order to meet business need
•
•Maintain an effective reporting regime for the IT Application Portfolio that provides relevant information on the individual applications within the given portfolio as a whole
•
•Support the assurance of the integrity of the IT Application Portfolio through regular analysis and reporting at key points in the development life-cycle
•Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
•Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the Application Services team deliver a consistent level of service
•
•Provide application management assurance to internal and external stakeholders ensuring a clear communication of plan, progress, risks and issues
•Technical Performance
•Prepare information relating to the given suite of applications within the IT Application Portfolio for input to stakeholders
•
•Provide analytical support in the development of applications and techniques to support business needs
•
•Provide reporting against the annual budget and headcount (of 3rd party service providers) for the IT Application Portfolio to track progress against targets
•
•Advise stakeholders and the Application Services team on budget / headcount management (of 3rd party service providers) in relation to the IT Application Portfolio to inform decision making
•
•Provide analytical support for the overall headcount and cost budget governance processes of 3rd party service providers for the IT Application Portfolio
•Providing guidance and leading in Technical Development application architecture.
•People Management
•Building and maintaining internal and industry networks
•Lead and build a team of Developer(s)( both internal and external )

Required Experience

• 8 years relevent experience

Preferred Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Participated in the delivery/development of major electronic solutions
• Participated in process re-engineering activities
• Effective collaboration (teams, solution delivery, business partnership) internally & externally
• Integration and .net Technology experience.

Preferred Knowledge

• Sound Understanding of Technical Concepts of API Management, .Net Programming, Agile Framework, ITIL Application Frame work
• Knowledge of multi-vendor environments
• Good Understanding of Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS).
