Job Summary

Job Description:

The Cyber Security Infrastructure Resiliency Engineer position is a new position that is part of the Cyber Security Reliability Engineering (CSRE) team. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to ensure that are critical cybersecurity systems are always operational.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing Cyber Security Deployments: Assess our current cybersecurity infrastructure and critical business services to document and validate how business continuity is ensured.
  • Establishing Disaster Recovery Plans: Develop comprehensive disaster recovery strategies that align with our business objectives and risk management framework.
  • Executing Disaster Recovery Exercises: Plan and conduct regular disaster recovery drills to test the effectiveness of our plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documenting Weaknesses and Gaps: Detailed documentation for any vulnerability or deficiencies discovered during analyses and exercises.
  • Developing Action Plans: Formulate and collaborate across diverse teams to implement strategies to address or managed identified gaps and improve resiliency of our services.

Key Skills:
  • Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Should have a background writing process and procedure documentation, including mapping network/IT architecture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all layers of the OSI model to prepare and implement effective disaster recovery plans.
  • Experience with networking protocols, including BPG, and experience with network components and services, including load balancers, DNS, and other industry standards.
  • Knowledge of and experience working key standards and frameworks (NIST SP800, ITIL, ISO 270000, FISMA, etc…).
  • Project / Program management experience, including understanding of Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience using metrics and key performance indicators to develop baselines and measure effectiveness of solutions. 
Certifications: (Not required, but preferred)
  • CISSP / CISM / CISA
