IT Director

Direct Medics are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced IT Manager/Director to co-lead our IT department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive key strategic objectives and manage projects that enhance our technology landscape. With a strong focus on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, you will help shape our IT strategy and lead our team to success. What You’ll Be Doing:

· Jointly lead the IT department, managing both day-to-day operations and the team’s long-term growth and development, with an emphasis on delivering quality experience and great customer service to internal stakeholders.

· Play a key role in defining and executing the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

· Oversee IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.

· Lead cybersecurity efforts to safeguard the company’s data and systems, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

· Manage and optimize our use of the Microsoft Azure suite, ensuring our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.

· Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure IT initiatives are aligned with broader business goals.

· Develop and enforce IT policies, focusing on security, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

· Continuously monitor and assess emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the company’s technology capabilities.

· Build and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

· Support and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

· A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

· 5 to 10 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and project management.

· Proven experience managing IT projects, from planning through to successful delivery.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Active Directory, virtual machines, and cloud security tools, other Cloud architectures are advantageous but not required.

· Demonstrable knowledge of working with CMS based suites with a good understanding of integrations also advantageous.

· A solid understanding of network architecture, firewalls, and security protocols.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse IT team.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

· Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.

Bonus Skills:

· Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks.

· Familiarity with compliance standards like GDPR, ISO 27001.

· Experience managing hybrid cloud environments and virtualized infrastructure.
