Who You Are:
As an IT/Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's information systems. You will design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect our data, systems, and networks from potential threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and cybersecurity, with experience in risk management, incident response, and vulnerability assessment. This role will also be the point of contact for any IT system related issues from authentication, access control and general troubleshooting of any employee devices and coordinate with any contracted IT resources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and cybersecurity, with experience in risk management, incident response, and vulnerability assessment. This role will also be the point of contact for any IT system related issues from authentication, access control and general troubleshooting of any employee devices and coordinate with any contracted IT resources.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor and analyze internet traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
- Respond to security or IT incidents, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Manage MDM solutions for employee devices and ensure they meet the company's standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and awareness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Maintain G-Suite and other applications as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus software.
- Proficiency in network and system administration.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google G-Suite.
- Supporting a remote working environment and diverse timezones.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
