BeyondTrust is a place where you can bring your purpose to life through the work that you do, creating a safer world through our cyber security SaaS portfolio.

Our culture of flexibility, trust, and continual learning means you will be recognized for your growth, and for the impact you make on our success. You will be surrounded by people who challenge, support, and inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

The Role

Do you believe that identity is the new perimeter in today's cloud-first era? Do you agree that as cyber threats evolve, platforms designed and built for scale allow your customers to focus on their security outcomes rather than integrating disparity solutions across the security stack? If you resonate with this vision and are driven by the ambition to make a real impact in the cybersecurity industry, we invite you to join our mission. As the Director of Platform, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. Our ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of developing and launching platform-based software products in the cybersecurity market and is excited about the opportunity to innovate on our next generation technologies. You will collaborate with a dynamic and diverse team of product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver industry-leading privilege access and identity security solutions.

As the Product leader for BeyondTrust Identity Security Platform, you shape and implement the strategic vision for our platform's services. Responsibilities include overseeing shared services related to all portfolio products as well as license and entitlement management. Your primary objective is to deliver user experiences that will enable our customers to achieve their security outcomes by leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving the development of innovative features and services on the BeyondTrust Identity Security Platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, validate, and implement a strategy for shared services, entitlements and product migrations on the platform, encompassing the entire provisioning lifecycle, fulfillment, licensing, and tracking of usage.
  • Define a long-term strategy that is keenly focused on COGS, scale, disaster recovery and compliance standards
  • Define and prioritize features associated with shared services within the platform.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to execution and launch.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers as well as external/internal stakeholders to understand customers’ needs to define and validate product requirements.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Work with the broader product management team to maintain both short-term and long-term roadmap in an agile fashion and to craft user stories within product backlog.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform the product roadmap.
  • Champion a jobs-to-be-done and user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that our solutions are accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of learners, educators, and institutions.
  • Define and field primary market research - including win/loss research, working with industry analysts, client & market surveys, customer advisory boards, and performing on-site visits with customers and prospects - to aid in defining the product direction
  • Perform assessment of target markets, industry trends, competitors and competitive products against BeyondTrust products
  • Obtain input and validation for new enhancements from customer-facing internal partners:  sales, solution engineers, marketing, customer support, engineering
  • Provide oversight and best practice guidance to their product directors and managers, solutions engineers, and software developers to specify and refine software requirements for enhancements or new products
  • Review and guide the PM team to prioritize backlog of proposed product enhancements to be utilized to analyze and select what will comprise a product release
  • Provide oversight and best practice guidance to product teams to develop financial justification analyses, utilize standard scoring criteria and obtain low-fidelity effort scoping to rank order and decide on which enhancements will be represented in a release
  • Support pre-sales engagements with complex or unique customer installation questions in a timely, efficient and professional manner, and support sales enablement activities

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven product management experience, preferably in SaaS platforms and/or security services.

  • Team player with a “let’s do this” approach
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficiency working within a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), specifically with scrum/agile approaches
