The School of Interdisciplinary Forensic (SIF) in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University is seeking Faculty Associates to teach courses in our Forensic Science program. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based on qualifications and assigned teaching load. The School of Interdisciplinary Forensics (SIF) bridges science, law, and justice, offering a unique approach to forensic education. The school has strengths in the psychological sciences (social, clinical, developmental psychology, and psychology and law), natural sciences (anthropology, biology, chemistry, entomology, and genetics), and information technology (cybersecurity, digital forensics), offering undergraduate and graduate degrees both in person and online. Essential Functions of the Position:

•        Teach courses in relevant areas, in-person, online, hybrid, or a combination thereof

•        Hold office hours to support students

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

•        Master’s degree in forensic science or related field or bachelor’s degree and significant professional experience at the time of hire

Desired Qualifications:  

•        Doctoral Degree preferred

•        Two (2) years of teaching and/or industry-related experience

•       Experience in online and in-person instruction

•        Evidence of teaching excellence e.g., student evaluations, syllabi, peer observation, annual evaluations, etc. 

•        Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a wide-ranging student population, including first-generation college students.

 Teaching/Student evaluations may be required at time of interview.
