This role will be within our Cyber organization, working at the intersection of business strategy, network engineering and cybersecurity technology products. It is a hybrid office-based and remote position in Bangalore, India with the workday to overlap at least 3 hours into the summit, NJ business day.
As an engineer of Network Security, you will be responsible for serving as a senior-level individual contributor in network security through independent engineering and deployment of security capabilities. The product of network security includes cloud network infrastructure components and remaining on-premises infrastructure at our branch offices. This role requires technical experience in multiple fields including, but not limited to, SD-WAN, firewall configuration and maintenance, DDOS protection, cloud, Secure Edge, and other leading-edge technologies. You will collaborate with multiple groups across security, engineering and architecture, and IT operations as well as other non-IT technology owners.
Specific responsibilities:
· Enable rapid business innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network solutions that are supportable, standardized, and documented.
· Work with Business Groups to craft modernization plans for legacy equipment and technologies
· Develop and implement network security policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and security technologies to ensure the network remains secure and resilient.
· Provide technical expertise, guidance and support to junior security analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
· Maintain accurate documentation of network security design, procedures and incidents for future reference and analysis.
· Analyze chain of events and apply technical knowledge to make recommendations for problem resolution
· Ensure compliance requirements are met within scope of responsibility
· Improve the delivery of network security to customers and partners across Enterprise IT, Operational Technology and Business Groups
· Create opportunities for efficiencies through innovative strategic decisions balancing cost and quality while maintaining appropriate levels of security.
· Partner with security and enterprise architects to identify and evaluate emerging technologies
- Deliver high quality work outcomes and customer service in a high-pressure, fast paced setting to meet company needs.
Qualifications - Required
· A bachelor’s degree or equivalent by track-record of successful enterprise experience.
· 4 - 6 years of broad IT infrastructure experience with hands-on network engineering experience and network security experience.
· Network Protocols: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP, and other core networking protocols.
· Experience supporting a broad range of network security technologies including firewall management and configuration, B2B VPN, load balancers, intrusion prevention, secure service edge, SD-WAN, network access control, network segmentation, and wireless security
· Expert understanding of networking protocols required to establish network connectivity
· Current knowledge and understanding of cloud providers and cloud networking solutions
· Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience communicating highly conceptual designs to executives, mid-level management, and peer engineers.
· Proven track record of innovation and continuous improvement
· Customer service oriented, eye for business value, and a bias for action.
· Expert at working with virtual, and diverse global teams of varied backgrounds and cultural experiences.
· Exercises independent judgment, strong decision making and problem solving for key processes.
· Experience with zero trust architecture.
Qualifications - Preferred
· Preferred certifications include CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
· Experience within regulated environments (GxP or SoX)
· Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
