What you’ll do: 

  • You will be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to deadlocks and resolving issues through consensus and sound judgment.
  • You will maintain lines of communication and delivery with government contracts and contracts technical representative staff
  • You will leverage organization resources to improve capacity for project work; and interview, select, develop and evaluating team members
  • You will define and manage project management processes and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for technical project management
  • You will team build and promote the empowerment of the team
  • You will manage project financials and supporting contract documents ensuring a healthy project gross margin, appropriate staff utilization, funding and contracts paperwork, invoicing and payments, budge to actual variances, and financial and staffing projections,
  • You will prioritize, lead, and manage tasking of project team and completion of assignments
  • You will evaluate, prioritize, and manage impacts of project scope changes
  • You will escalate project risks to the appropriate MetroStar and client stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Active TS//SCI with CI poly
  • You have a minimum of ten (10) years of delivery leadership of complex federal IT or IT-related programs, either as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager
  • You have at least two (2) years experience in leading IT projects managing large Agile teams.
  • You have established and provided clear communication to executive leadership to include reporting, forecasting, risk assessments, and stakeholder expectation management
  • You have experience managing the financials and staffing of large IT programs
  • You have strong interpersonal skills including coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills
