Job Summary 

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for implementing, securing and maintaining AEG's Information Technology (IT) and is responsible for ensuring the secure design of all environments across the AEG global enterprise. The Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with various team members to develop, deploy and implement Office 365 security standards, best practices, and operational efficiencies. This role work closely with other team members on projects, operational matters, overall service delivery and service transformation. 

Essential Functions 

  • Work to develop Defender for 365 and other security tool configuration across the enterprise.
  • Work with security engineers to design and implement architectures that mitigate risk to the organization.
  • Develop security architecture standards, designs and principles.
  • Document infrastructure designs and procedures to ensure compliance standards are met.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support through root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and collaboration across cross functional teams or vendors
  • Assist with improving Global Technology customer support by mentoring and cross training others as needed
  • Support and comply with all Cyber Security, Incident Responses, Compliance and Governance initiatives.

Required Qualifications 

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical area.
  • 4-6 years IT security solution implementation experience is required.
  • Experience with the integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft and other SaaS providers.
  • Security Tool/Vendor Experience (Microsoft, Qualys, Nessus, Tenable, Azure Sentinel, or similar).
  • Experience in Defender for 365 product and features.
  • Experience with Infrastructure automation through a working understanding of code and script such as:
    • PowerShell, Python, C#.
    • Experience designing and/or implemented security architectures in cloud (Entra/Office 365) environments, and solution On-Prem architectures and operating models.
    • Experience with Office 365 global administration, architecture and development.
    • Experience in Entra IAM solutions
    • Experience in writing high standard infrastructure configuration documentation
  • Solid knowledge of security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of security protocols, including but not limited to SSL/TLS, IPSec, SSH, and various encryption standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, service, and technical challenges and provide solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a nontechnical audience.
  • Foundational knowledge of the ITIL framework, and IT Service Management.
  • Understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks.
  • Strong knowledge on API designs and use to integrate services.
  • Understanding of security and compliance frameworks, standards and implementation in public cloud environments.
  • A thorough understanding of tools, policies and standards related to security systems and experience in executing incident response process and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Defender for Office 365 security tools
  • Project management skills with ability to influence change.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Payscale: $131,559 - $157,871
