Position Summary:
The Pen Test Operator will work as part of a team in the Pen Test Lab providing Pen Test and Analysis Laboratory services. The position will assist in providing end to end delivery of the full suite of Pen Test capabilities for use in daily tracking of outgoing production quality the timely support of Engineering experiments and qualifications.
This position reports to the Pen Test Laboratory Lead.
Detailed Description
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the laboratory test instruments and routines including test process, flow and response plans.
- Responsibility for performing laboratory pen test analysis, quality checks and test routines.
- Required to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and tools.
- Ability to recognize problems in the execution of test protocols and to respond appropriately and address those problems.
- Work effectively as part of the Pen Test Lab team and contribute to high quality outs within tight deadlines.
- Keep up to date with details of test equipment set up, safety, consumables usage, equipment problem solving and test equipment calibration verification and fail to safe protocols.
- Develop knowledge of computer applications with particular reference to laboratory data base and reporting applications.
- Contribute to the growth and improvement of Celestica in every aspect of its business by contributing to the improvements in the Pen Test Lab.
- Demonstrates the ability to continuously strive to learn all products and systems within the Business Unit area.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Experience analysing & reviewing Pens (ink cartridges) for quality issues.
- Knowledge of quality requirements for current product.
- Team player with a ‘can do ‘attitude.
- Ability to recognise problems in the assembly process and to address those problems.
- Ability to learn established quality and quantity requirements.
- Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organised records.
- Knowledge of and adherence to Quality/ISO audit requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers (external also, if applicable).
- Basic manufacturing system knowledge.
Typical Experience
- Second level qualification desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
- 2-4 year manufacturing experience.
- Experience in the areas of Quality and Product Testing & Analysis an advantage.
