JOIN THE TEAM
As a cloud architect, you will develop and implement security solutions for our public cloud platform at scale, focused on Microsoft Azure.
You will be part of the team managing the public cloud computing platform. We are making the latest IT tools available for BASF DevOps teams, speeding up securely cloud-native application development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build cloud security architectures, policies, and automations considering new digital trends (like Zero Trust, or DevSecOps).
- Evaluate and increase the security posture of our public cloud platform.
- Coordinate design and integration with other global product teams.
- Handle complex business, technological, and compliance problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in business computer science, engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, or a comparable field.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and cloud security at enterprise scale, with hands-on experience using a code-first approach (Azure ARM / bicep / Terraform).
- Practical knowledge in Azure Logging and Monitoring solutions (such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitoring Agent, EventHub, or log analytics workspace).
- Fluency in one or more scripting languages (python, PowerShell, bash,etc).
- Deep understanding of one or more cloud security topics: encryption, identity, automation, monitoring, backup & restore, compliance, governance.
- Knowledge of common cybersecurity standards and frameworks (such as ISO 2700x, NIST, or CSA).
- You have oral and written communication skills to effectively influence decisions, and build relationships of mutual trust with multiple international stakeholders focused on fulfilling clients’ needs and requirements.
NICE TO HAVE
- Relevant certifications, especially in the areas of Microsoft, AWS, CISSP
- Knowledge of common IT frameworks such as ITIL, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Experience with Azure DevOps boards, ServiceNow, QRadar, Qualys
- German language is a plus.
