Zayo is seeking a Cyber Security Training Specialist to be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Zayo’s security awareness training programs. The Cyber Security Training Specialist role involves creating engaging training materials, conducting training sessions, and promoting a culture of security awareness across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of skills and security knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security awareness training and programs for all employees.

  • Create engaging and informative training materials, including presentations, videos, and online modules.

  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate employees on security best practices and policies.

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure training content is up-to-date and relevant to current threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Promote a culture of security awareness through internal communications, newsletters, and other channels.

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of security training programs, using metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in cybersecurity awareness training.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on security-related issues and questions.

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure security training is integrated into onboarding and continuous education programs.

  • Develop and maintain a security awareness calendar, scheduling regular training sessions and awareness campaigns.

  • Prepare and deliver reports on the status and effectiveness of security training programs to senior management.

  • Act as a point of contact for security awareness training inquiries and issues.

  • Participate in incident response activities as needed, providing training and support to impacted teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity awareness training roles required.

  • Experience with Workday Learning and other learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Strong experience in analyzing data to drive business decisions and identify actionable insights.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective training materials.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and relevant training development tools, including Adobe Captivate.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.

  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO.

Base Salary Range: $64,700 - $86,300 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
