IT Security Engineer WB Tech

The opportunity

COE IT Security within Wholesale Banking/Tech/CISO is responsible for IT Security and regulatory compliance in relation to Wholesale Banking’s IT landscape.

The focus lies on risk consultancy and coordination of first line risk management activities in the Identity and Access Management IT area. The department consists of 3 IT Security teams and 2 Business Control Specialists.

The IT Security Engineer function in general is a versatile job allowing you to interact with all layers of the WB Tech organisation as well as external audit and other parties within ING.
In this function you are able to participate in various discussions and drive the integration of IT Security in the DevOps way of working.

Your key responsibilities

Together with the people in the team, you will be responsible for implementing IT Security capabilities and delivering security & risk awareness throughout WB Tech. You have a passion to own, lead and organize the work that will lead towards the set goals to resolve issues. Preferably you have been in a role where you were in contact with DEVOPS engineers, policy writers and global capability providers. Being able to shift in levels of details and concepts enables you to participate in technical (security) discussions. From this gathered insights you define improvement proposals and implement together with our IAM Guild and other parties.

Your main focus will be on the following IT Security capabilities and skills:

• Subject Matter Expert in the Identity Access Management (IAM) control area
• IT & Security Risk Assessment
• Drive Control Implementation
• Key Control Testing – review results and adapt, explain or change the Way of Working
• Automate and simplify IT Security Controls

You continuously strive to develop both yourself and your colleagues in the security mind-set. You connect views of policy writers and engineers with your actions as IAM Subject Matter Expert.

You are an ambassador for IT Security around the Globe. This role requires emphasis on the following:

Education and background

• Professional and intellectual IT skills at bachelor or university level, preferably Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experience specializing in IT audit or a Risk Management function.
• Track record of owning and resolving of issues.
• Certification in and / or proven skills in Security and Risk. Preferably CISSP Certified or CISM/CISA Certified
• You have an excellent level of communicational skills, both verbal and written in Dutch and English.
