Position Number: 102890, 128800, 104390 Position Title (Classification Title): Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity 102890, 128800, 104390 Working Title: Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity Job Summary: The Department of Cybersecurity and Information Technology at the University of West Florida (UWF) in Pensacola, Florida invites applications for three full-time, tenure-track positions in Cybersecurity (Position # 102890, 128800, 104390) at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2025.Candidates may also be considered for credit toward time on tenure-track based on experience.
For the three positions, we are interested in applicants from all areas in cybersecurity, computer science, or related fields, including, but not limited to, system and network security, software security, and artificial intelligence. Applicants in all computing related field will be considered. Department Dept of Cybersecurity FLSA: Exempt Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment and a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. Position Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment and a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses for the programs in the department, develop a strong research program, be a mentor to students, and be an active member of the department, contributing to its success and the mission of the university.
