Job Description:

About the role:


As a CFC Cyber Forensics Cloud Engineer with a focus on Experian’s Forensic environment, you will be responsible for the deployment and management of our forensic cloud environment. This role emphasizes the use of Terraform for infrastructure as code, deep knowledge of AWS Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and integration with Active Directory. Additionally, you will deploy eDiscovery and Forensic applications into the cloud, manage the migration of data from on-premises to AWS storage, and collaborate with vendor professional services on vulnerability management. You will work under the direction of the DFIR Engineer and partner with the Cloud 9 project management team to ensure seamless project execution.

 

A day in this role:c Cloud Architecture Execution: Assist in the deployment and management of a robust cloud infrastructure using AWS services, ensuring secure and isolated environments for forensic analysis.

  • Terraform Scripting: Write and maintain Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
  • VPC Management: Design and manage AWS VPCs, ensuring secure network segmentation and connectivity for forensic workloads.
  • Active Directory Integration: Implement and manage integration with Active Directory for identity and access management within the cloud environment.
  • eDiscovery and Forensic Applications Deployment: Deploy eDiscovery and Forensic applications into the cloud, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Data Migration: Manage the migration of data from on-premises to AWS storage, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process.
  • Vulnerability Management: Proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities, working with internal stakeholders and vendor professional services to ensure the security of our servers.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Cloud 9 project management team to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with organizational goals.

 

The expertise requested:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  •  2-4 years of professional experience with AWS services, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
  • Proficient in infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform scripting.
  • Knowledge of network architecture and security, particularly within AWS VPCs.
  • Experience with Active Directory and its integration into cloud services.
  • Familiarity with forensic analysis tools and their deployment in a cloud environment.
  •  Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with IT, eDiscovery, Cyber Forensics teams, and project management teams.
