The Position

The Opportunity:
As a DevSecOps Intern, you will work closely with the Software Engineering team within Roche’s Product Development Integration and Engineering section. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of DevSecOps, focusing on the integration of security practices into the DevOps process. You will assist in automating routine tasks, improving system reliability, and building custom solutions.

Who you are:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in 3rd or 4th year or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field.

• Basic understanding of DevOps and security concepts.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Centricity around cloud technologies including but not limited to AWS and Cloudflare.

Preferred:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java is desirable.

• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines is desirable

• Experience with Database Systems - SQL, noSQL, Graph or Vector

• Familiarity with Software Engineering - software development methodologies and design principles.

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Additional Information

• This position is a 8-month work term (full-time) and is expected to begin in January 2025.

• The position is located in Mississauga, Canada. Our team follows a hybrid work structure (minimum 3 days in the office).

• This internship is designed to provide practical experience and mentorship, preparing you for a future career in DevSecOps within any industry.
