The School of Interdisciplinary Forensics (SIF) in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University is seeking faculty associates (FAs) in Psychology for a hiring pool to teach courses in our Forensic Psychology program. The successful candidate(s) will teach in person/online, and/or hybrid courses, prepare course materials and lecture content, evaluate student work, and assist students. Candidates may teach undergraduate or graduate students based on their credentials. Individuals employed as faculty associates may not hold multiple non-benefit eligible appointments at Arizona State University (ASU).
Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based on qualifications and assigned teaching load.

The School of Interdisciplinary Forensics (SIF) bridges science, law, and justice, offering a unique approach to forensic education. The school has strengths in the psychological sciences (social, clinical, developmental psychology, and psychology and law), natural sciences (anthropology, biology, chemistry, entomology, and genetics), and information technology (cybersecurity, digital forensics), offering undergraduate and graduate degrees both in person and online. Essential Functions of the Position:
- Teach courses in relevant areas, in-person, online, hybrid, or a combination thereof
- Hold office hours to support students
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in psychology or related field for undergraduate courses at time of hire and a PhD in psychology or related field for graduate courses at time of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of teaching and/or related experience;
- Experience in online and in-person instruction;
- Experience coordinating and/or mentoring undergraduate students, graduate students, and/or teaching assistants;
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including first-generation college students;
- Evidence of teaching excellence e.g., student evaluations, syllabi, peer observations, annual evaluations, etc.
Teaching/Student evaluations may be required at time of interview.
