Your new role

As our new Head of Security/Protective Security, you will be responsible for the physical & people security in Ramboll Sweden. The position is at a partly strategic and operational level and aims to reduce risk by identifying and minimizing potential threats through planning, training, awareness, and implementation of security measures.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Developing, implementing, and updating the Ramboll Sweden security strategy, policies and procedures, and ensuring that these comply with group policy, procedures and guidelines – and keep us at the frontier of Security among our peers in Sweden
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities in Ramboll Sweden and propose necessary measures to reduce these
  • Acting as decision support for the Ramboll Sweden management team
  • Have a professional responsibility for physical and people security in Ramboll Sweden, including ensuring that the company's physical assets and employees are protected against any threat
  • Continuous monitoring of the strategies’ effectiveness and relevance accordingly to Ramboll Sweden’s risk Profile, regulatory and client requirements
  • Site Security Manager – manage and drive mapping, site classification, and security risk assessments of all Ramboll Sweden sites
  • Ensure implementation of physical, technical and site security standards adherent to the PSMS, Data protection acts, ISO 27001, NIS2 and client specific requirements
  • Conduct internal security training to key stakeholders as needed
  • Handle relevant security measures in close collaboration with local Workplace mgt. teams, other support functions and key stakeholders at senior management level
  • Responsibility for ensuring that security procedures are followed and continuously improved.
  • Ensure monitoring and review of reported security incidents, handle and follow up on these to prevent recurrence and take out learning points
  • Overall responsibility for Ramboll Sweden's emergency response organisation in collaboration with the Manager of Health and Safety
  • Responsible for coordinating interaction with external stakeholders such as the police, PST and other interaction partners in the business sector in relation to preventive security
  • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Prepare an annual report/evaluation based on the company's security situation
  • Responsibility for staying up to date on new threats and technologies in security and attending relevant courses and seminars to maintain competence
  • Responsibility for interaction with other security disciplines such as IT security and information security, compliance and Data Protection as well as provide supports to personnel security related incidents

Protective Security (related to Protective Security Act)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for information, personnel and physical security connected to projects and other matters related to the Protective Security Act (SFS 2018:585 Säkerhetsskyddslagen).
    1. Responsible for incident handling, investigation and vetting activities and procedures regarding personnel that are taking part in projects connected to the protective security act.
    2. Responsible for handling customer requirements regarding:
        • physical security on Ramboll premises due to classified projects (National security level).
        • information security in accordance with the protective security act.

Gives support to:

  • All market manager levels regarding
    1. All phases of a project with classified information (national security level)
        • Tenders
        • Project planning
        • Project execution
        • Project delivery/termination
  • Country leadership team on a strategic level and/or support to CLT in operational matters.

Reporting and chain of command:

Reports to CEO PBU RSE regarding protective security matters (requirement in the protective security act).

Delimitation:

  • Does not have professional responsibility for IT security and information security.

The Mandate

Power of mandate:

  • Authority to manage Ramboll Sweden's security strategy
  • Authority to make decisions on immediate security measures in the event of identification of acute threats.
  • Authority to manage local safety managers and safety administration established in the locations where Ramboll Sweden has national secure rooms. 

Reporting lines

  • Reports to: Ramboll Sweden CFO/COO (Senior Director, Finance, Business Transformation and Operational Excellence)
  • Dotted line reporting: Global Head of Physical Security
  • Reporting from: Local Safety Leaders

About you

You will work to create a culture where every single employee in Ramboll Sweden knows and takes responsibility for preventing risks, and where we continuously have a focus on preventive security in all parts of the organization, always.

  • You hold a degree at B.Sc. level and/or have extensive commercial experience (5 years) in leading/managing physical security in public, or private sector. 
  • You have experience working with risk management 
  • You have experience with negotiation and cooperation with management teams and project managers 
  • You should be experienced in incident/crisis management/business continuity planning 
  • You possess strong executive and leadership skills, as well as proven analytical skills and are an independent problem solver  
  • You are a team player with good communicative skills 
  • You have the ability to drive changes throughout an organization 
  • You are expected to be self-starter and assertive with the ability – with a strong sense of urgency to produce results in a complex and international organization where priorities and focus often can change
  • You are detail oriented, but with capability to navigate tactical challenges to ensure adherence and alignment with the Global Security Strategy and RSE business goals 
  • You are an experienced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, as well as other relevant applications
  • English is our corporate language and hence you must be able to be able to communicate effortlessly in English.  It is important that you can present and communicate convincingly - verbally and in writing - to all levels of the organization
  • You should preferably hold a degree or certification in Security management such as CSMP from ISMI or CPP   from ASIS INT. or be willing to undertake required the education within a defined timeframe
  • Extensive knowledge of, or a certification in, ISO 27001 is an advantage
