Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer II to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.

 

The candidate will primarily be responsible for software development using Java. Additional responsibilities include: provide in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java; resolve complex problems, design, develop, test, integrate, and support users for a large code baseline; follow specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code; assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation; design, code, test, and implement automation tools.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Applicants must have an active Secret clearance which is required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with Java Spring.
  • Experience with software programing in Java
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally up-to 10% to support business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
  • Possessing a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are desired, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing a solution.
  • Command and control system application development is desired.
  • Previous experience with message translation software is desired.
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience is desired.
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms is desired.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment. Knowledge of software practices and coding standards.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of server-side development and message passing.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks.
  • Use common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse.
  • Understanding standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts, is desired.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation is desired.
  • Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers; experience setting up a container environment is preferred.

Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($81,000 - $91,000).
