ABOUT THE ROLE


To support our growth, we are looking for a Specialist, Security Engineer to design, implement, maintain, audit and support our growing network infrastructure which includes mainly installations in energy production plants and our cloud-based datacenters. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and implementing maintainable, secure and highly available network architectures that meet business objectives.



WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


  • Cooperation with other teams in planning, testing and verification activities required at SCADA hardening / commissioning phase, primarily in Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Perform user account reviews for internal and external users, on systems and customer facing products.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments
  • Patch management and security product backlog governance
  • Harden internal processes and audit source code repositories for aligning with documented security practices
  • Collaboration with our SOC provider for SIEM Operations (monitoring, response)
  • Manage access lifecycle for internal users and customer on-prem systems and networks.
  • Conducting proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate actions
  • Close coordination with our security officer



WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:


    • At least 3 years of relevant experience
    • At least 5 years of linux experience
    • Familiarity with network & system hardening best practices
    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field will be considered a plus
    • Strong hands-on technical infrastructure skills on Servers (Linux, network devices)
    • Understanding of internet security protocols, mTLS, Certification Authorities, Key Management, IPSEC/VPNs etc
    • Linux security hardening knowledge based on best practices (i.e. CIS Benchmarks)
    • Experience in working with code deployment and configuration management tools is a plus
    • Experience with cloud services is a plus
    • Experience using bug tracking systems (Jira, etc.)
    • Operational proficiency in English
    • Excellent communication skills and team working mentality
    • Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and creative environment
    • Hard working attitude and willingness to commit on projects
    • Proactiveness, accountability and results orientation
