Senior Security Manager – Raytheon UK

Location: Hybrid working and travel across UK sites

As a leading defence systems electronic & solutions provider we require a Security Manager to manage the Security Team across multiple sites across the UK

Nature and Scope:

Key responsibilities, budget, people summary of main activities:

The role holder reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the supervision and direction of all elements of operational security for Raytheon UK, including but not limited to the following:

  • Leading a small team of direct reports to coordinate and maintain security operations for Raytheon UK, in adherence with HMG Security Policy Framework requirements including IPSA, FSC and IVCO and in line with Raytheon policies, strategy, applicable contractual commitments, legal requirements and industry good practice.
  • Ensuring personnel security management compliance for employees and contractors including correct vetting procedures and the security management of visitors and contractors to meet HMG, UKSV and IPSA requirements.
  • Review and manage security risk and threat assessments including regular practical exercises to assure effectiveness of measures to meet FSC and IPSA requirements, proactively managing threat detection and vulnerability management and driving the required remediation.
  • Creation and maintenance of security culture in line with UK Government Security requirements providing regular reports and critical metrics that demonstrate the compliance and effectiveness of security operations.
  • Implementation and management of an effective Raytheon UK incident management system, developing strong internal and external relationships to promote the early identification and resolution of incidents and lead on any associated investigations.
  • Implementation and management of the Raytheon UK Business Continuity Management posture.
  • Ensuring effective compliant management of all Raytheon UK Cryptography accounts.
  • Managing the logging and distributing of Security Aspects Letters, policy management and associated compliance assurance.
  • Engagement with Raytheon UK commercial and supply chain teams to ensure security requirements are communicated and complied with throughout the supply chain through continuous audit and assurance processes.
  • Engagement as a senior stakeholder within the Raytheon UK CISO office to ensure coordination of vulnerability and risk identification, management, mitigation and remediation across physical, personnel and information security.
  • Manage functional labour and non-labour budgets.
  • Coordinate the Raytheon UK Business Continuity Management posture.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong leadership experience of teams in matrixed environments with the ability to influence others
  • Passionate, high-energy, self-starting team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement
  • The Security Manager will be an experienced security professional with a thorough understanding of UK Defence sector compliance requirements and have worked in a similar role managing a security team in a UK Defence environment.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Security Manager conducting and co-ordinating physical and procedural incident management and response.
  • Have a working knowledge of and experience of working with the UK Government Security Policy Framework, FSC, IPSA and IVCO procedures.
  • Experience undertaking security risk assessments and implementing security policies.
  • Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work well independently.
  • Experience in leading function – spanning improvements that proactively identifies process improvement and ability to implement any changes
  • Understanding of GPDR and US Global Trade requirements.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Shape solutions out of complex problems
  • Able to lead and work in a multi-functional / multi-site team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Conversant with requirements of all relevant security legislation
  • Strong ability to effectively analyse, understand and develop performance metrics
  • Degree educated in Business Management or suitable similar qualifications & experience
  • Eligible for, or holder of current, SC security clearance

  • CSMP Level 6 qualification or equivalent
