Group Cyber, Technology & Cyber Data Privacy Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • To define, assess, monitor and report on technology & cyber privacy compliance requirements.
  • To assist in the facilitation of technology & cyber privacy impact assessments and reviews
  • To identify, assess and monitor technology & cyber privacy risk remediation programs.
  • To define and implement a records and information management program.
  • Assessing vendors/solutions from a data privacy point of view
  • Supporting Group Legal with annual Record of Processing Activities (ROPAs)
  • Assessing Audit clauses, sub-processors, processing activities and transfer impact assessments in supplier Data Protection Agreements (DPAs).
  • Track and report on data mapping of personal data at an application level.
  • Propose and drive privacy related initiatives for IT and Cyber as they relate to new privacy regulations.

Competencies:

  • University graduate in the areas of Data Privacy/Computer Science/Information Management Systems/Cyber Security/similar area
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CDPSE, CISA, CRISC qualification or actively studying towards one of these
  • Strong IT skillset
  • Good knowledge of IT and Privacy related frameworks and standards (e.g. Region Specific Regulatory Requirements such as GDPR, CPA, GDPL Brazil, POPIA, DPF,  IAPP, Cloud Computing Code of Conduct, COBIT, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, NIST, Trust Principals)
  • Ability to weigh business risk, provide guidance and enforce appropriate technical controls
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and functionality
  • Energy, passion and a desire to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attends relevant special interest groups; belongs to professional organisations.

Experience:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in IT privacy management, (Enterprise, Operational, IT) or consulting on IT privacy and record management type engagements
  • Good attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands and work well under pressure
