As commercial technology adoption accelerates within the Army and the lines between traditional service offerings blur with emerging “cloud” technologies, the Army must coordinate and partner with diverse groups to continue delivering modern services to customers. The Army must collaborate with industry, vendors, and other Government agencies and organizations to effectively meet the needs of our diverse customer base. By leveraging the service capabilities of other agencies and industry, the Army will create capacity and allow commands to focus more resources on mission requirements and less on commodity information technology capabilities.

Duties:


· Implementing and managing security protocols for cloud-based systems and data.

· Monitoring cloud systems for potential security breaches.

· Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing.

· Develop incident response plans.

· Remain up to date with the latest security threats and trends in cloud technology.


This role will be performed onsite.

Requirements


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing CND or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in working in CND.
  • Understanding of utilization, configuration, implementation, and analysis of industry standard cyber defense capabilities, including, but not limited to, web content filters, email security capabilities, IDS, IPS, AESS, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Domain Name System (DNS) security practices, advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls, anti-virus capabilities, Linux/UNIX command line, and access control lists.
  • Global Information Assistance Certification (GIAC), and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
  • Certified Intrusion Analyst, Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • DoD 8570.01 Information Assurance Technical 3 (IAT Level 3) certified.
  • Foundational Cloud Certification.
  • Familiarity with RMF and its rules and regulations.
  • Preferred certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect,
  • US Government clearance at TS/SCI level,
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required.
