Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Education & Awareness

What you will do

In this vital role you will support a globally distributed team that cultivates a culture of security awareness and champions critical cybersecurity behaviors throughout the organization. You will contribute to the execution of education programs, assist with multi-functional collaborations, and support the ongoing evolution of security awareness to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation. In alignment with the organization’s values and strategic efforts, your work will have a meaningful impact on the resilience and security posture of the company.

As Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Education & Awareness is expected to deliver services and solutions that support the mission, priorities, and objectives of Amgen’s Cybersecurity & Digital Trust (CDT) team. You will be responsible for:

Role Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Product Owner for Cybersecurity Education and Awareness Creative Services, driving the development of visual content and campaigns in alignment with Corporate Brand Guidelines
  • Create content in Photoshop, including banners, wallpapers, images, and social media graphics, to support security awareness initiatives
  • Collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Security Operations teams to understand and identify real threats, synthesizing data to determine top risks and using this information to develop future security awareness campaigns and content
  • Support the internal phishing testing program by contributing to the development of themes, content, design, and management of campaign distribution, consolidation of results, and analysis of outcomes
  • Provide content and contribute to the development of programs, training materials, and communication campaigns that drive critical security awareness knowledge and behaviors across all regions where the organization operates
  • Support management of security awareness platforms and technology, including the internal phishing program platform, Outlook distribution lists, and other tools
  • Manage and facilitate training events, webinars, and other learning opportunities
  • Monitor and engage with global staff via communication channels, such as awareness inbox, Viva Engage channels, and other platforms
  • Manage distribution lists, training and attendee lists, and other back-office administrative tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Learning, Change Management, Talent Development, Communications, and Cybersecurity experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and 6 years of Learning, Change Management, Talent Development, Communications, and Cybersecurity experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Learning, Change Management, Talent Development, Communications, and Cybersecurity experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on agile teams as a product owner or service owner
  • Demonstrated program or project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, great teammate, and self-starter with a strong commitment to hard work and excellence
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate information
  • Strong learning agility
  • Strong technical skillset
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced, virtual team environment
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Practical knowledge of Information Security standards and policies like ISO 27001/27002, NIST, and others
  • Attention to detail is a must

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC)

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
