Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Data Warehouse Engineer to work 100% REMOTE. The candidate must have an active secret clearance.

As a Data Warehouse Engineer on the Data Warehouse (Migration) Team with Logistical Data Services (LDS), you will be expected to:

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical client POCs to establish clear requirements for data warehousing and data marts, then design and implement in PL/SQL and PostgreSQL to deliver the intended business outcomes
• Designing and implementing complex ETL solutions within Oracle PL/SQL AND PostgreSQL databases
• Experience pulling/loading files, transforming/cleansing data, loading it into complex schemas
• Designing and building additional schemas and data structures (generic data model) to expose data to external systems and users via API, including RBAC related access role design and implementation
• Building database jobs and code packages in PostgreSQL to move data in/out, as well as integrating data from multiple sources within the database
• Analytics data warehouse design and implementation - In depth understanding of OLAP databases (Amazon Redshift preferred), including how to design columnar centric databases, moving raw semi-structured data through various layers of transformation and semantic layer logic for optimal data refresh efficiency, as well as query performance
• Responsible for meeting Program Increment (~12week) deadlines to create and enhance Data Ingestion Team capabilities.
• Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
• Support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives) as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Sprints.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have an active secret clearance.
• BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred
• 6-8 years IT experience and 2 to 5 years of direct Data Warehouse Engineering
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II / minimum requirement - Security + , COMPITA Linux + , AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect preferred

• Developed and/or Implemented Databases

• Experience with Oracle and knows PL/SQL

• Can write SQL Code and Queries

• Can write ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) in SQL

• Experience working with Postgress SQL

• Experience with Amazon Web Services Redshift and Glue and has written Glue Jobs

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
