Defensive Cyber Operations Expert

Key Role:
Assist the Navy in understanding, identifying, assessing, and managing risks affecting the secure operation and defensibility of cyberspace, inclusive of DoD intelligence systems, missions support systems, weapon systems, new technology, capabilities, networks, cyber physical system, control systems, cloud environments, and data stores. Provide in-depth and technical knowledge in Department of Defense Information Networks (DODIN) Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO) to coordinate and develop orders that meet client mission objectives. Support the execution of deliberate or crisis plans and cyber risk mitigation. Participate in joint planning to support initiatives. Support a highly diverse team to generate strategic vision to improve pursuit and capture of new business. Collaborate across multiple Booz Allen teams to meet functional, market, and account and sector-wide goals. Identify opportunities, cultivate solutions, and guide development of Navy, Marine Corps, and Cyber markets from shaping to operational execution proficiency. Establish and maintain the necessary rigor, motivation, and opportunity to accelerate and ultimately realize growth outcome. Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, team members, and external partners. Collaborate with various task leads to support the execution of complex programs.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience with supporting military or government cryptologic or defensive cyber missions

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles

  • 5+ years of experience with project management

  • Experience with identifying, assessing, and managing risks affecting the secure operation and defensibility of cyberspace and supporting the execution of deliberate or crisis plans and cyber risk mitigation

  • Experience in identifying, engaging, and communicating effectively with key stakeholders, including senior management, senior government and military clients, team members, and external partners

  • Knowledge of service component relationships with higher level commands and subordinate task forces and experience with coordinating with external organizations

  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and staff courses of action through organization leadership to orchestrate employment of capabilities worldwide, identify opportunities, cultivate solutions, and guide development to expand new business prospects within Booz Allen markets

  • Ability to problem solve and recommend creative solutions

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Master’s degree

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with drafting, coordinating, and tracking cyber tasking orders (CTOs)

  • Experience with analyzing and tracking vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) incidents as it relates to intelligence reporting

  • Experience with joint planning to support USCYBERCOM or DODIN initiatives

  • Experience with drafting Navy Orders, execution orders (EXORD), tasking orders (TASKORD), and operations orders (OPORD) and developing concepts of operation (CONOP)

  • Experience with intelligence driven defense or the Cyber Kill Chain methodology

  • Experience with data analytics, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and end point security, including cloud-based internet isolation (CBII), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), and Spinnaker

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal oversight

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
