About the Role:

The Data Protection Specialist will support the Senior Director of Data Protection in identifying data loss trends, evaluating current tools, and presenting actionable metrics to reduce the company’s risk. The specialist will focus on reviewing and recommending updates to company policies and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) cases.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to identify data loss trends and exposure risks.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current data protection tools and recommend enhancements.

  • Analyze DLP cases and ensure policies are enforced and effective.

  • Present data protection metrics and reports to senior leadership.

  • Assist in developing and implementing updated data protection policies.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

  • Work closely with IT and Security teams to monitor and manage data access across platforms such as Google Workspace and Box.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Familiarity with Google and Box data protection tools.

  • 3+ years of experience in driving data protection reviews and recommending policy updates.

  • CISSP certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Box admin controls, and experience with endpoint review tools.

  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $95,000 - $155,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
