Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Junior Security Architect to join our expanding Information Security team. In this role, you will contribute to strengthening the organisation’s security framework. Working closely with senior security professionals, you will help identify security risks, implement protective measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior security architects in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT infrastructure and applications
- Analyse security requirements for new projects and initiatives and recommend appropriate security controls and measures
- Evaluate security technologies, products, and solutions to assess their suitability for addressing specific security challenges
- Provide support and guidance to IT teams during the implementation of security controls, ensuring adherence to security standards and policies
- Participate in the deployment and ongoing management of security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control systems
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging security technologies
- Assist with security incident response activities, including investigation and reporting
- Maintain documentation of security architectures, configurations, procedures, and incidents, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders as required
Qualifications
Education, Training, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience in information security or a related discipline
- Prior experience working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services, or BPO organisation
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with program management practices and frameworks
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms, with the ability to engage effectively with staff members, customers, suppliers, and senior management
- High levels of personal integrity, credibility, and a commitment to achieving results
- Passion for technology, along with a dynamic and driven attitude
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
