About the Internship:
We are seeking dedicated Threat Researcher Interns to join our dynamic team at Safe Security. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to enhance cybersecurity measures by focusing on MITRE Standards [such as ATT&CK, CVE, CWE, and CAPEC] and recent Data Breaches.
Location: New Delhi or Bengaluru

Core Responsibilities:

• Hack Analysis: Researching new hacks that are disclosed performs a breakdown analysis of the breaches, generates a Kill Chain, and creates the attack flow.
• Hack Breakdown: Identify Misconfigurations with respect to the hack and create a detailed understanding of the hacks by mapping various standards to the hack.
• Analyse Cybersecurity Risks: Assess the cybersecurity risks associated with each identified with the hack, understanding the potential exploitations and impacts.
• Research Automation Tools: Explore and evaluate tools and scripts that facilitate the automation of obtaining hack feeds and generating statistical breach data.
• Team Collaboration: Engage with cybersecurity and product development teams to communicate findings and prioritize tasks based on the associated risks.
• Ability to Learn: Understand Threat Feeds and propose risk combinations concerning the breach
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all findings, risk assessments, and automation strategies within the company’s internal documentation systems.
• Content Delivery: Understanding the delivery pipeline for the engineering team and coordinating with releases of various content updates.

Essential Skills:

• Computer Security Basics
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND Framework
• Working knowledge of Python
• Research and Analytics: gathering data from various sources, analyzing trends, and extracting meaningful insights from past cyber attack
• Application Security Understanding
• Report Writing and Documentation
• Threat Actor Monitoring/Follow Breach Updates: tracking ongoing or recent data breaches, monitoring the attack vectors used, the affected industries

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficient understanding of Cybersecurity and Data Breaches
• Strong commitment to enhancing the safety of cyberspace
• Github / Coding
• Google Sheets / Excel Formula Knowledge
• Analytical Skills

Eligibility Criteria:

• Available for a full-time, in-office internship
• Available for a duration of 6 months
• Based in or willing to relocate to Delhi or Bengaluru
• Possess relevant skills and interests in cybersecurity
