The Security Engineer should be competent to work at a high technical level, be a strong team player and be willing to follow applicable processes and procedures while maintaining the flexibility to “think outside the box”.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an Integration Security Engineering role and a solid background in Firewalling (NGFW) and relevant technologies being used - Preferably Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet (Fortigate, Fortimail).

Responsibilities

  • Design, Configure, implementation & support of security systems (service provider & enterprise) for clients in Greece and abroad.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary / multi-technology teams for the design and implementation of security solutions & services. Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining, managing and prioritizing the product backlog items.
  • Troubleshooting of complex problems on client critical infrastructure & production networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, network protocols, and security architectures.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and assessments of the firewall infrastructure.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology field
  • At least 2 years of experience in Information Security or relevant roles.
  • Strong Knowledge on NGFW features (SSL Decryption, Site-to-site VPN, Remote Access VPN, NAT, Routing, Security profiles, User Identification, SD-WAN, IPS,IDS).
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and work as a team member.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant master’s degree will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (English).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, such as systems administrators and network engineers, to ensure a cohesive and secure IT environment.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and routing.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and network components, especially those commonly used in networking environments (Windows, Linux, AD, LDAP,DNS, RADIUS, SAML, SMTP, NTP, Domain Controllers etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience in methodologies such as Operating Systems, Scripting languages, Databases (SQL, MySQL) etc. will be considered as an advantage.
  • Any knowledge and experience of Imperva Products, Palo Alto, Fortigate, Fortimail, CyberArk or relevant experience with OT/IoT security will be considered as a plus.
