You will be joining the Chief Security Office (CSO) as part of the Security Clearance & Screening (SC&S) team.

The primary focus of this team is the security clearance and screening processes required by TELUS to meet contractual, policy and regulatory requirements. You will be assisting our team members to make sure they have the correct security clearance in place for the work they need to do.

What you’ll do

As a front-line member of the SC&S team you will respond to inquiries sent to TELUS regarding security clearances and screening and you will assist team members through their special clearance and screening processes. Provide Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) functions as required. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the SC&S operating environment and with the team’s continuous process improvement initiatives. Lastly, you will support any initiatives within the CSO related to cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A creative thinker with good analytical abilities
• A strong team player, able to work independently and within a team, creating constructive and effective working relationships internally and externally 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize work based on importance and urgency, deal with high volumes of work, customer demands and resolve conflicts and customer issues when needed
• Post-secondary, College or University Degree in Computer Science & Technology or related field
• Ability to obtain a Level II (Secret) security clearance from the Government of Canada

Great-to-haves

• Currently hold or have held a valid security clearance certificate from Government of Canada at a Reliability Level or greater
• Verbal and written proficiency in French is an asset
