We currently have a vacancy for a System Administrator fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Ispra, Italy. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

  • Administration of Linux-based client/server platforms (virtual and physical);
  • Administration of Windows-based client/server platforms;
  • Installation and configuration of client/server software and administration of laboratories IT infrastructure and end user environment;
  • Management of users and computers based on Active Directory in hybrid infrastructure;
  • Management of end user VDI platform including resource configuration and proper setup for Corporate level services like CI/CD and BDAP platforms (JRC BigData);
  • Management of intune workstations;
  • Handling of backups and restore operations in support of end user environment 1st /2nd level support;
  • Computer hardware management: analysis and resolution, problem definition;
  • Maintenance of a detailed HW/SW inventory;
  • End User applications installation and configuration support;
  • Interaction and collaboration with upstream support teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Experience in firewalling Technologies (Particularly for Cisco, Fortinet, VMware NSX systems);
  • Experience in  IPSec, SSL VPN standards and technologies;
  • Experience in IDS/IPS Network intrusion detection technologies;
  • Experience in vulnerability detection and management solutions (Tenable Nessus, Tenable Security Center and others);
  • Excellent knowledge of incident response processes and techniques;
  • Good knowledge of security on Microsoft technologies (Windows 10, Windows Server 20xx, Active Directory);
  • Good knowledge of security monitoring and attack detections (i.e., Tenable Identity Exposure, Splunk);
  • Good knowledge of Dual Factor authentication systems (token and radius servers);
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and services (NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP…);
  • Excellent command of the English language.
