Responsibilities

Position Description: Cybersecurity Engineer assists and advises cybersecurity leadership on cyber related issues, create and maintain Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) packages for various Project Office systems, and performs platform integration activities using cybersecurity principals and techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of eMASS packages using vendor and organization provided information
  • Assist and advise product offices on DoDRMF continuous monitoring requirements
  • Using DoD Risk Management Framework, candidates must be able to determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; assist PM ASE SME’s in identifying integration issues and preparing cost estimates. creating, completing, and completing documentation and artifacts in support of continuous monitoring activities.
  • Verifies security systems by using DoD approved technologies such as STIG/ACAS/Static Code Analysis. Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting table-top exercises.
  • Responsible for the review of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments. Ensures that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

Bachelors degree and 5+ years, Masters and 3+ years; PhD and 0 years of experience

Active DOD Secret Clearance or higher

  • Army Risk Management Framework 2.0
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines
  • Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGS)
  • Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
