Job Summary

Under direct supervision, this exciting role in Dominion Energy's Cyber Security Compliance Group will perform the following duties (there is one position available and it will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's skills and abilities):
 

  • Assists with maintaining the cyber regulatory compliance program for processes, applications, and systems across business units.
  • Works with senior compliance analyst to leverage cyber security best practices and detailed understanding of cyber regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with evaluation of technical procedures towards achieving compliance; reduces or eliminates audit findings; implements changes and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provides assistance in compliance-related projects requiring advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements as well as knowledge of appropriate security architecture, technology best practices and business area requirements, limitations and unique system implementations.
  • Assists with implementation of compliance processes and procedures for systems and applications.
  • Assists with the evaluation of processes for failure points and assists with the implementation of controls to mitigate those potential failures.
  • Assists with compliance-related data requests, investigates failures or breakdowns in processes.
  • Assists with the development of plans for remediation or prevention of future incidents.
  • Works with senior compliance analyst to identify opportunities for strengthening compliance controls proactively.
  • Raises awareness of current and upcoming policies, regulations, and requirements, and develops solutions for compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
     

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Cyber Compliance Analyst:  0 to 2 years of compliance, cyber or IT audit or technology experience.
Cyber Compliance Analyst:  3+ years of compliance, cyber or IT audit or technology experience. Note:  A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement.  A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year of experience.

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience requirements 
 

  • Basic knowledge of Cyber regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of creating and updating cyber & human performance controls for compliance requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of current security architecture best practices.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of current cyber security best practices.
  • Knowledge of internal and external auditing functions.
  • Demonstrable root cause analysis understanding and/or training.
  • Demonstrates previous training in, or a basic understanding of, human performance failure.
  • Ability to create procedures and policies.
  • Ability to translate procedures into operational steps.
  • Possessing the drive to independently learn and become an expert in the evolving regulatory landscape and how it maps to an evolving Dominion Energy IT and business technology landscape.


Please note: This position will report onsite 4 days out of the week. 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher
 

Preferred Discipline(s): Information Systems; Information Systems Security; Information Technology, Computer Science, Liberal Arts
