Cyber Systems Engineer / Elasticsearch, Kibana, Confluent Kafka

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a motivated Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Regional Cyber Center - Europe (RCC-E) services contract.

 

Location: Wiesbaden, Germany

 

In this role, you will: 

• You will administer multi-site Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Confluent Kafka clusters on various network enclaves.
• You will create and administer data pipelines using Elasticsearch, Confluent Kafka and Logstash.
• You will manage user access to Kibana using federated login services, like ADFS and IDM.
• You will collaborate with the Defensive Cyber Operations team to drive analytic development.
• You will patch and apply updates to the Elasticsearch architecture, as needed.

 

Qualifications

Requirements: 

• 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; additional experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Must be able to qualify for technical expert status accreditation (TESA) by having a bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Business Administration plus 3 years of specialized experience OR an associate’s degree plus 7 years of specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of specialized experience.
• U.S. citizenship required. 
• An Active DoD Top Secret security clearance or higher.

Active DoD Approved 8140 Certifications, required to be accepted as a candidate:

• DCWF:451 - B.S. or FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP.
• DCWF:461 - A.S. or CISSP-ISSEP or GSNA or CCSP or Cloud+ or CySA+ or GICSP

8140 Residential Certifications, required within 3 months of being accepted for the position:

• Elastic Certified Engineer or Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect.

Preferred:

• Working familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Confluent Kafka, RedHat Linux, Bash and Python scripting.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
