In today’s digital world, new risks emerge every second of the day. Cybercrime is becoming a big business and poses a material risk to an organization. The Healthcare industry is constantly confronted with increasing cyber threats and risks that might compromise its data and jeopardize patient safety. Stealing passwords and hacking into networks is easier than ever with advances in modern technology, emphasizing the importance of Cybersecurity. 

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to support multiple areas of cybersecurity, including Cybersecurity Operations, Identity & Access Management (IAM)/ Application Security (AppSec), and Cyber Architecture & Engineering. You will gain practical experience and contribute to our mission of protecting critical systems and sensitive information. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to build foundational skills in the industry.

  • Collaborate and support the Security Operations Center (SOC) team with data analysis and threat-hunting activities and ensure rapid response to security alerts.
  • Help maintain and analyze security logs to identify potential threats.
  • Assist with identifying, assessing, and remediating potential security vulnerabilities across our systems.
  • Participate in analyzing threat intelligence to help protect against emerging cyber threats.
  • Participate in threat intelligence gathering and learn to detect Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
  • Contribute to incident response efforts by assisting in containment, eradication, and recovery procedures.
  • Assist in designing and implementing security solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Work with the Cyber Engineering team to evaluate and enhance existing security controls and configurations.
  • Collaborate on projects focused on network security, endpoint protection, and data encryption.
  • Support IAM initiatives to ensure secure access control across systems and applications.
  • Help analyze and manage access requests, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege.
  • Assist in IAM tasks such as user onboarding, role assignments, and periodic access reviews.
  • Participate in projects involving multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and identity governance.
  • Overall, you will gain exposure to all facets of the cybersecurity functions within a healthcare organization.
  • Pursing a degree in Information Systems, or Computer Science / Technology, Cybersecurity.
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Word. Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management skills demonstrated personal accountability and excellent verbal & written skills.
  • Ability to be organized and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team. 
  • Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills.
  • Demonstrates effective research tactics, good organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
  • Commits to continuous learning; being self‐motivated and self‐ directed.
