What will I be doing:

As a Security Researcher, you will work as a security analyst for 6 months to train as a security professional, before transitioning to the software development team, working on the automation of the security analysis process. No prior knowledge of security is required, with this role providing full training in this area, making it an ideal role for researchers looking to break into the field of cyber security.

Please note this is a hybrid role, and expectation is work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office. 

What experience do I need:

This opportunity is for individuals with a PhD in any technical area or equivalent research background, along with some experience in programming languages like Python. If you have a desire to delve into cyber security from both a security analyst and software engineer perspective, this could be the perfect fit for you. This individual will also have:

  • A strong analytical and organisational skills,
  • Be a team player but with the ability to operate autonomously and take independent decisions.

Desirable:

  • Experience with some data science techniques (e.g. statistics, clustering, classification)
  • Experience with some software engineering best practices (e.g. object-oriented code, continuous integration, unit testing)
