The Team Lead for Core Security Operations Centre (SOC) At the Vodafone Business Central SOC located in Málaga Innovation Hub is entrusted with the pivotal responsibility of designing, building, and operating the core SOC services. With a focus on operational excellence, this individual will establish and manage the technical and human infrastructure required to deliver sophisticated SOC security services that surpass customer expectations. Efficiency, innovation, and cutting-edge security guidance define the ethos of the Core VB Central SOC team lead. This role demands not only the ability to provide strategic direction for the evolution and expansion of modular, core, advanced, and advisory security services but also to ensure their seamless operation. Central to the mission is the leadership, and nurturing of a team comprising L3 security specialists and engineering experts. Together, they will oversee core and advanced SOC services, modular security services, and advisory and security consultancy services.

 

The responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for the set up and delivery of the core SOC services in the Vodafone Business Central SOC, working in partnership with the L1/L2 Central SOC teams and other national SOCs, Vodafone Business and Technology functions.
  • Accountable to define the human and technical infrastructure to set up L3/Tier 3/complex support services and engineering support to operate the core services.
  • Accountable to support the portfolio of cybersecurity services and preventive and reactive functions, including: Advanced threat intelligence and vulnerability management, Complex incident response, forensic analysis and post incident review and improvement, L3/Tier 3 support for modular managed services and security awareness.
  • Accountable to manage the product and customer lifecycle of cybersecurity services, meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction targets.
     

What you bring:

  • In depth understanding of concepts and procedures within cybersecurity services, with hands-on experience in managing and responding to cyber security threats and incidents.
  • Experience in managing cybersecurity projects and teams.
  • Experience in setting up new technology/infrastructure to serve a new service portfolio.
  • Excellent leader of people with ability to build relationships, engage and inspire.
  • Experience in hands-on delivery of services for end customers, managing delivery teams with end-to-end accountability of the customer service.
