Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer and Information Science, specializing in Cybersecurity, to begin in Fall 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in multiple areas of cybersecurity, including but not limited to hardware security, software security, penetration testing, red teaming, network security, and reverse engineering. Candidates with specializations in other relevant areas of cybersecurity will also be considered. The position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, a commitment to teaching excellence, and an active research agenda. Faculty hired for this position will also be affiliated with FCCAI and have access to its resources.
Cybersecurity has been identified as a priority area across multiple units at Fordham. The Fordham Center for Cybersecurity & AI (FCCAI) ([https://www.fordham.edu/fcc]) serves as an intellectual hub for students, faculty, and the broader Bronx community. This interdisciplinary center brings together members of the Fordham community to promote education, research, and service in computer security and artificial intelligence, benefiting both the university and the greater New York community. Over the past three years, FCCAI has been awarded over $10 million in federal grants, and affiliated faculty and students have published more than 250 papers in prestigious journals and conferences.

The finalist for this faculty position may also be eligible for further consideration for a Clare Boothe Luce Professorship for beginning tenure-track faculty.
Qualifications
The position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science and related fields, a commitment to teaching excellence, good communication skills, and demonstrated research potential with the ability to attract external research funding.
