More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Juffair, Bahrain.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Ultimately, Leidos supports the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service. The qualified candidate must have extensive troubleshooting workstation and server problems. The individual will serve as the last point of escalation for user problems before escalating outside of the organization. Responsibilities include orchestrating response actions, responding appropriately to alerts and events and responding to incidents from triage through resolution; providing root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures; and documenting daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Manage operation and maintenance support for distributed servers, switches, and workstations.
•Coordinate all maintenance and restoration activities of remote servers within the scope of contract responsibilities.
•Coordinate across all ONE-Net Regions on operational initiatives that require cross-regional tasking.
•Respond to all escalated service requests and trouble tickets delivered through the Service Desk.
•Ensure the escalation of incidents and problems are assigned to the appropriate Tier.
•Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities.
•Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures through manual configuration, installation of patches, or the application of scripts to protect data, software, and hardware.
•Participate in technical exchanges as required.
•Provide technical and operational input to Regional Change Review activities.
•Review existing documentation for the server, services, data storage operations, and maintenance processes and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvements/changes.
•Assist network and systems security personnel in security incident response, including close coordination with the Theater Information Assurance Manager (IAM) for directed remediation tasks.
•Maintain all servers within the configuration baselines and all STIGs, and accurately configure and apply patches to all systems.
•Integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
•Perform system and database administration to ensure optimal network performance, maintain the network security posture, and minimize customer service interruptions.
•Address and complete Customer Service Request (Move/Add/Changes) and Incident ticket within service level agreements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
•Apply operating system patches using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires B.S. Degree and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2–6 years of prior relevant experience (in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or related field. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree).
•US Citizenship and a Secret Clearance is required for this position.
•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
•Possess at least one OS certification (MTA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MDAA etc.).
•8 years of previous experience in the Information Technology field working as a Systems Administrator in a Microsoft Server environment.
•Experience working with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
•Experience working with Active Directory, Domain Name Service, and policy enforcement through Group Policy.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Top Secret Clearance.
•Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level III (CASP or CISSP).
•Three or more years’ experience managing teams of 10 or more.
•Extensive experience managing an enterprise patch management system.
•ITIL Foundation v3 or v4.
•10 years of previous experience in the Information Technology field.
•MCSA, MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect, or Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA).
•Although not required for the position, additional experience and certification in network administration (CCNA/CCNP) is desired.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
