The Opportunity: 

ECI is seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and qualified Systems Specialist to join our client support team. In this role, you will provide onsite end-user and system support running Windows, and MAC OS in Office 365 environment.

In this role, you will serve as an end-user administrator for all client issues while responding to Level 2 and 3 service ticket requests. You will also take escalations and when needed will escalate problems to the next level of support for guidance and direction as well as contact third-party vendors for warranty service repair as needed. In addition, you will have both a strong technical background combined with a strong ability to articulate technical content to all levels within an organization. 

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates within a commutable distance to New York City.  This is an onsite role based in NYC (Midtown).    

What you will do:

  • Provide accurate, comprehensive notes on work performed to account for time spent with customers
  • Provide advanced support of cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft 365/Azure
  • Provide escalation support on common productivity technologies such as Microsoft 365 modern workplace including Intune
  • Implement and manage Office 365, Proofpoint Essentials and Mimecast
  • Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide long term fixes based on root cause analysis
  • Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Azure Active Directory Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services, and zero-trust services such as Cloudflare and iBoss
  • Provide high-level consultation on information security fundamentals such as good password hygiene practices, multi-factor authentication recommendations and social-engineering defense
  • Perform system maintenance tasks including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades, critical patch applications, and vulnerability remediation
  • Provide support of Active Directory such as Domain Controller upgrades, Group Policy creation, scheduled software deployments, network policy maintenance, and certificate management
  • Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and participate in after-hours client project implementations, migrations, and upgrades

Who you are:

  • 4+ years of experience to apply best practices to architect, build and manage:
    • Microsoft Networks On-prem & Cloud. This includes Window Servers, Virtual hosts / guests, Exchange policies, Terminal Servers, M365, InTune, Azure sites with Servers & VDI desktops
    • This includes firewalls, FMC, switches,
    • Cybersecurity Protection concepts including zero-trust environment and restricted access-control
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building and managing expectations
  • Communication skills both verbal and written. This includes explanation of changes required within the network architecture & infrastructure.
  • Analytical skills, including current trend analysis and optimal capacity utilization

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP) preferred
  • Certifications in cloud services, network management or cyber-security, such as CCNA, CISSP, Azure Fundamentals and VCP a plus
  • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix digital workspace platform
