This is a 12-week internship during summer 2025. 

The Security Data Platforms team builds and maintains systems that support Coinbase’s security alerting, detection, and investigation functions, as well as proactive monitoring of security configurations. Your responsibilities will include building new data collection capabilities, automating maintenance tasks, and adding contextual data to better risk-inform our decisions. 

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Working with our senior engineers building new data collection infrastructure or automation using Go or Python
• Improving our security asset management applications
• Following our secure software development lifecycle

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Strong software development skill set
• Demonstrated interest in a career in Security
• Strong communication skills

Nice to haves:

• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related area discipline 
• Experience working in Github and AWS
• Proficiency in Python and Go
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and risks
