Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. System Security Engineer to join the Software Center of Excellence.
This position is responsible for validating the security of Legrand’s system architecture throughout the product life cycle. They will prescribe practices, create and utilize tools and outside services to direct and monitor all aspects of system security. This includes Hardware, Firmware, Software and all communication vectors within the system. The successful candidate will ensure that we create and maintain secure, compliant systems for both privacy and security standards.
They will develop and implement security best security practice techniques for the engineering development of Legrand systems. They also will manage and lead ongoing research and education on current vulnerabilities that affect IoT devices, systems, and software.
This position is remote; occasional travel will be required when restrictions are lifted.
What Will You Do?
MAIN JOB DUTIES:
- Be capable of working with a software, firmware, hardware and product development teams across multiple Legrand business units in a fast paced and innovative technology environment.
- Identify and define system security requirements for our products
- Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
- Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
- Strong experience with IoT devices including Linux based systems
- Working knowledge and use of PKI infrastructures including CA and HSM
- Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Skills
EDUCATION:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in designing, developing, and deploying security architecture in cloud IoT security systems.
SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
- Expertise in C++, Java, Python, Xamarin, or related languages
- Cloud experience, especially Windows Azure. Experience with security aspects of web services and cloud applications, as well as IoT devices.
- Familiar with the Agile development methodology
- Knowledge of, and experience with object-oriented architecture and design.
- Must have proficient programming skills, including familiarity with data types, syntax and control structures. Demonstrated ability to create functional and technical design specifications for development efforts
- Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently. Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
