Windows is one of the most common platforms that malwares target. In the constant battle between malware authors and security features, both sides have become increasingly sophisticated over the years. 
In this project, you will be investigating modern malware and how they work, as well as study the latest protection features on Windows to assess if they are enough to protect your computers.

Scope & Deliverables

  • Study Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups and their techniques
  • Research on the internal workings of Windows protection features and assess their effectiveness against modern malware
  • Documentation of research findings, and if applicable, develop a Proof-of-Concept to demonstrate research outcome.

Prerequisites/Skills Required

  • Proficient in python, C, C++ 
  • Proficiency in assembly will be useful
