POSITION OVERVIEW

Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is seeking a Technical Writer/Compliance Analyst responsible for conducting research and analysis to draft and update language for key security policies, standards and procedures. They will review and validate documents for accuracy, conduct annual updates, and prepare documentation for publication. Background in Technical Writing, Control Governance, Cyber Security Awareness, Cyber Security Audit Management and other related fields, highly desirable.

 

LOCATION

  • Jacksonville, FL (HQ) preferred OR 100% remote.
  • Must be able to travel to Jacksonville on occasion for meetings or workshops. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Works alongside Security SMEs to create and oversee cybersecurity content, documentation and diagrams.
  • Revises, updates, edits, and proofreads written materials such as product manuals, user manuals, how-to guides, and FAQs.
  • Works with Risk and Compliance departments to create artifacts and supporting documentation for controls and audits.
  • Conducts research on highly technical information and gathers input from cybersecurity team members.
  • Identifies and documents control deficiencies and manages the remediation of issues and risk reviews.
  • Manages the information repository, generates WIKIs as required, and governs version control.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
  • Requires 3+ years of Technical Writing experience, preferably in cybersecurity or IT policy documentation.
  • Proficiency in drafting technical reports, plans, and related correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Skill in developing, reviewing, and updating security policies, manuals, and instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks with tight, often simultaneous, deadlines.
  • Experience in compliance, risk management, or assurance and Audit.
  • Structured thinker that can layout documentation that is easily referenced and consumable.
