A day in the life of a Senior Security Platform Analyst - Endpoint Focused at VF looks a little like this. 

The Security Operations team is looking for a Security Platform Analyst who will play a vital role in keeping the VF Global Enterprise safe from cyber-attacks. As the Security Platform Analyst, you will be part of a larger organization working to protect the company from any malicious activity. This role requires you to work with others to deploy and manage our various security platforms, strategize threat prevention, coordinate remediations, and contribute to process improvement.    

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. 

• Primary resource for supporting and managing security platforms deployed across the organization with a focus on SASE, Endpoint Protection, and Email Security  

• Responsible for the future state of all security platforms  

• Create and maintain all documentation for security platforms  

• Create and monitor dashboards within our security platforms to drive security posture improvements throughout the enterprise  

• Utilize telemetry from security platforms to proactively identify potential issues throughout the enterprise  

• Perform daily administration tasks such as validating version status for all deployed products and policies  

• Administer the secure email gateway to prevent SPAM, Phishing, and Malware from entering the environment   

• Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of various dashboards to help monitor the health and performance of our various security platforms   

• Provide support for our cloud security posture management (CSPM) solution, ensuring security and compliance across cloud environments.   

• Perform initial triage of any deployment-related issues   

• Maintenance of endpoint protection rules and policies   

• Document various processes and procedures to be performed by the SOC utilizing our various security platforms.    

What do you need to succeed? 

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related fields or commensurate hands-on experience  

• Cybersecurity or IT-related certifications (Security+, GSEC, CISSP, equivalent) are a plus 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

• Knowledge of client and server operating systems (e.g., Windows, Mac, Linux)  

• Knowledge or experience with PKI management (i.e., Cloud or On-prem)  

• Working knowledge of the Microsoft security suite is preferred  

• Working knowledge of Antivirus Software, Host-based firewall, Full Disk Encryption, Application Whitelisting, File Integrity Monitoring  

• Knowledge of Email Security protocols including SMTP, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC  

• Working knowledge of EDR solutions a plus  

• Excellent communication and documentation skills 

• Location requirement: Greensboro, NC
