Job Description

Purpose of the role

To execute the seamless delivery of IT services while maintaining a robust and secure control environment, utilising their expertise, control knowledge and leadership skills to safeguard sensitive data, mitigate operational risks and support the banks technology systems. 

Accountabilities

  • Execution of support services across Operations and Technology (O&T) production functions, including incident management triage, management and escalation, event management, change management and batch processing management.
  • Management and resolution of service requests, incidents, and problems prioritised by its severity to disrupt the bank's IT services.
  • Analysis and improvement of service delivery processes to identify blocks, implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and ensure processes align to relevant regulatory requirements, through the utilisation of new and existing technologies and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Development of detailed reports on service performance and trends and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to support decision making and promote a culture of security awareness.
  • Development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships, including business united, technology teams, control functions and service provides, to align service delivery processes and effective communication.

  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.

Join us as a Cyber Governance Analyst at Barclays, where you'll be providing guidance as a first line of defence in maintaining the security controls in line with Barclays policies and standards and would act as the SME across Workplace & Collaboration Cyber services. You will also ensure that proactive risk management with good cyber control processes in liaison with regulatory and audit requests are in place.

To be successful as a Cyber Governance Analyst at Barclays, you should have experience in:

•            Strong analytical/problem solving mind set with the ability and willingness to get into the details to find solutions.

•            Previous role with similar responsibilities in supporting effective governance, monitoring controls and internal processes, managing identified risks

•            Ability to conduct root cause analysis, remediation, vulnerability management

Some other highly valued skills may include:

•            Ability to understand data and challenge its outcomes

•            Cybersecurity certification

•            Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, ability to coordinate with senior stakeholders.
