As a Cloud Security Engineer at Entrata, you will be an essential part of our cybersecurity team, responsible for monitoring, configuring, analyzing, and responding to security events across our IT/cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with senior security professionals to identify and mitigate security threats, architect innovative cloud security solutions, and ensure the protection of our clients' data. Your role will involve vulnerability discovery, triaging security incidents, applying solutions, and assisting in incident investigations. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, and possesses excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with our CloudOps, Corporate IT, and other engineering teams to maintain, optimize, and advance multiple high-performance, large-scale cloud computing environments, Kubernetes clusters, and PCI-compliant systems.
- Partner with InfoSec spaces, including Application Security and Security Operations, to ensure that data and telemetry are precise, actionable, and deliver substantial security value, thereby enhancing our overall company security posture
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, Clouwatch).Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.
- Ability to operate autonomously and without day-to-day direction.
- Identifies Cloud Security needs for Entrata.
- Strong communication through Jira.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Strong interest in information security, particularly in cloud and AWS security.
- Knowledge of common security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or equivalent field with a deep passion for security. Preferably in AWS.
- AWS Certifications: Must have Solutions Architect associate. Preferred certifications: SysOps Administrator - Associate, Security - Specialty, Terraform Associate (003).
- Deep expertise with EC2, ASGs, IAM, and DNS (Route 53).
- A proactive, blameless, can-do attitude, with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune, India
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a start-up environment or with rapidly growing companies.
- A highly analytical mindset and eagerness to solve technical problems with distributed computing, code development, data pipelining tools, data health and monitoring frameworks, and other technologies.
- Ability to independently own projects and balance competing priorities, whilst still effectively collaborating with colleagues.
- Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon AWS, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure) and modern deployment technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Kubernetes, docker).
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar). Experience in PHP is a plus.
- Design, architect and build automated systems to provide security uplift for the organization
- Provide security domain expertise on protective controls, to include cloud systems, networking, encryption, and authentication services throughout Palantir’s portfolio of products, services and infrastructure.
- Experience managing identities and governance workflows on platforms like Entra ID, AWS Cognito, Okta.
- Familiarity with risk management and understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/SOC/NIST).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Puppet.
- Experience with CPSM tools such as Wiz, Splunk & Tenable.
- Strong contribution to our vulnerability management strategy and vision with Jira
- .Previous internship or coursework related to cloud security is advantageous.
